Superloop to provide network infrastructure for Investa properties
Telecommunications firm Superloop has been chosen by commercial real estate group Investa to exclusively provide network infrastructure for more than 1,100 properties across two forthcoming sites in Victoria. These premises will feature in the growing build-to-rent market.
This announcement follows a comprehensive tender process where Superloop positioned itself to deliver robust connectivity to over 700 units in Footscray and an additional 445 accommodation units in Southbank. Both projects are anticipated to come to fruition in 2025.
Superloop is set to construct a wholesale FTTP (Fibre-To-The-Premises) network, owning and operating it for the entire lifetime of the buildings. The network plans to supply superfast broadband, voice, MATV, and smart building services for these pending developments.
Superloop's Group Executive for Business and Wholesale, Daisey Stampfer, has voiced her delight over partnering with Investa, which has continuously demonstrated its commitment to sustainability and the creation of connected communities. She stated, "Working together from early on in the project means we can support Investa as they create smart communities that meet the increasingly digital needs of their future residents."
The collaboration aligns with Superloop's goal of revitalising internet delivery in Australia, the company's ambition since its inception. This partnership with a reputable entity like Investa is indicative of the progress made towards realising that goal.
Stampfer concluded, "We've long stated that our goal at Superloop is to refresh the way internet is delivered in Australia – and signing with an award-winning developer like Investa is proof that we're making real progress in this space."
