SentinelOne & AWS enhance AI security with new integrations
SentinelOne is expanding its relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS), unveiling a series of integrations and tools. These aim to deliver automated, AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities for cloud and generative AI environments. The collaboration is intended to help organisations manage risk and automate security operations across AWS's cloud infrastructure and AI workloads.
Expanded integrations
One focus area is streamlined response to security incidents. SentinelOne's Singularity Hyperautomation platform now integrates with AWS Security Incident Response, offering customers the ability to automate investigation and response processes via no-code workflows and prebuilt playbooks. These new capabilities include isolating affected resources, issuing notifications, creating incident cases, and triggering containment, all within a unified workflow canvas.
This integration aims to reduce manual interventions and errors, improving response times and allowing security staff to prioritise strategic initiatives. SentinelOne said that additional context from both cloud and non-cloud sources can be incorporated into these automated workflows.
AI for threat detection
A further integration involves SentinelOne's Purple AI, which now offers support for AWS CloudTrail. Security analysts can investigate and hunt for threats within the CloudTrail logs using natural language queries, removing the need to rely on custom query syntax traditionally required for such tasks. This is expected to make security investigations faster and compliance processes more efficient.
SentinelOne is also extending its Prompt Security tools to the AWS Marketplace. These tools are designed to address risks associated with generative AI use, such as data leakage, prompt injections, and unauthorised or "shadow" AI activity. The tools provide real-time visibility, policy enforcement, and data protections for generative AI implementations on AWS.
Certification and customer impact
The company has attained the AWS Generative AI Competency, which recognises technical proficiency and customer success in AI and generative AI security on AWS. This distinction opens further opportunities for customers to access SentinelOne's AI-focused expertise within the AWS ecosystem.
"Security and innovation go hand in hand. Our continued collaboration with AWS ensures that organizations can harness the full potential of AI and the cloud without compromising trust or control. Together, we're delivering the AI security foundation for the next generation of enterprise computing," said Ely Kahn, CPO, SentinelOne.
SentinelOne reports that customers are realising improvements in operational efficiency and security visibility through these integrations. Relay Network, an AWS customer, cited measurable benefits from using the company's AI-native security platform on AWS.
"SentinelOne's comprehensive AI-native security platform, deeply integrated with AWS, has been a game-changer for Relay Network. We've seen a 100% improvement in visibility and a 50% reduction in issue-detection time, allowing our engineers to focus on innovation and accelerate feature development. This collaboration empowers us to confidently build, operate, and secure the future of AI on AWS, ensuring we can scale securely and deliver unparalleled value to our customers," said Brendan Putek, Director of DevOps, Relay Network.
Cloud security at scale
AWS confirmed the joint commitment to supporting organisations in adopting AI with protection frameworks in place. SentinelOne's tools on AWS Marketplace are now positioned to offer comprehensive visibility, automated response, and advanced protection for critical AI-driven workloads.
"AWS and SentinelOne share a commitment to securing the future of AI innovation. SentinelOne's decision to expand their security solutions on AWS demonstrates our shared vision for helping customers confidently adopt AI technologies with robust protection. Through these new integrations and AWS Marketplace offerings, customers benefit from comprehensive visibility across their environments, automated response capabilities, and advanced AI security tools that safeguard their most valuable workloads and data as they innovate at scale," said Hart Rossman, Vice President of Global Services Security at AWS.
