Vodafone & Hubbl partner to simplify Australian streaming

Thu, 4th Jul 2024

Vodafone has partnered with Hubbl to become the first telecommunications company in Australia to offer the Hubbl premium entertainment experience to its customers.

The partnership aims to integrate Vodafone's mobile network and NBN and 5G home internet plans, making the TV and streaming experience simpler for users.

The collaboration allows users to access live and on-demand content from various popular global and local video-on-demand apps and Australian free-to-air TV channels through Hubbl's platform. This platform offers an easy-to-access search and content aggregation feature and is compatible with any broadband connection including Vodafone's NBN and 5G home internet plans.

Hubbl enhances any TV setup, offering a subscription management feature allowing users to stack up to five eligible streaming apps billed via their Hubbl account. Customers can save up to AUD $15 per month through a subscription credit. The device requires no aerial or satellite dish, making premium content streaming available without the need for traditional television reception equipment.

Kieren Cooney, Vodafone Group Executive, Consumer, expressed enthusiasm about the launch. "By connecting our customers to a premium entertainment experience with Vodafone's great value broadband, we are setting a new standard for what Australians can expect from their home entertainment setup," he said. "Hubbl is a unique product that simplifies the TV and streaming experience, so you spend less time searching for something to watch and more time enjoying the content you love."

Dani Simpson, Executive Director at Hubbl, also commented on the partnership. "We're excited to partner with Vodafone to get customers Hubbl'n through this special deal," she said. "With 16 paid and free apps available on Hubbl and more to come, there is nothing like the world of entertainment Hubbl unlocks."

To celebrate the launch of Hubbl with Vodafone, the telecommunications company is offering its customers six months of BINGE Standard included on NBN and Home Internet plans when they add the Hubbl small device to their plan. This promotion runs with a cost of AUD $4.12 per month over 24 months, with a total minimum cost of AUD $99. Additionally, new and upgrading postpaid mobile customers will receive three months of BINGE Standard as part of the promotion.

This announcement comes amid rising inflation, currently at 4%, which has heightened awareness of cost-of-living pressures. According to estimates, 70% of consumers are interested in managing multiple subscriptions from one platform to reduce costs and streamline access to content, indicating the appeal of Vodafone's bundled services.
