Vodafone launches EOFY sale with big handset discounts

Vodafone has launched its end-of-financial-year sale in Australia, offering discounts on smartphones, mobile plans and home internet services.
The promotion covers postpaid and prepaid plans, tablets, wearables and accessories, and is positioned around household budget pressure and demand for lower monthly bills.
Among the largest handset discounts, new customers can save AUD $700 on the iPhone Air, AUD $800 on the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and AUD $600 on the Samsung Galaxy S26+. Selected Samsung devices also come with a AUD $400 bonus trade-in credit when customers trade in an eligible device and stay on a qualifying plan.
A separate offer applies to the iPhone 17 range. Customers who take an Extra Large Plan and stay connected for 36 months can receive a AUD $1,200 credit on an iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max, plus a further AUD $200 bonus trade-in credit on eligible devices.
The sale also includes lower-priced smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is available for AUD $1 a month over 36 months on an eligible plan, while the Motorola moto g67 5G is priced at AUD $4 a month over the same term, excluding plan charges.
Plan discounts
Vodafone has also extended discounts on service plans, with 50% off SIM-only plan fees for the first six months on selected Small, Medium and Large plans.
Home broadband is part of the promotion as well. Selected high-speed nbn plans come with AUD $20 a month off for 12 months, while 5G Home Internet Plus or Premium plans are discounted by AUD $15 a month for the same period, subject to availability in selected areas.
Connected devices are included, with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra discounted by AUD $600 on eligible plans over 24 or 36 months.
Wearables and audio accessories are also on offer, including AUD $50 off the Apple Watch SE 3 and AUD $80 off Apple AirPods Pro 3 on selected plans. Samsung products in the category include AUD $300 off the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025, AUD $200 off the Galaxy Watch8 40mm and AUD $100 off the Galaxy Buds4 Pro.
The breadth of the offers reflects how telecoms providers are using bundled discounts and instalment structures to compete for customer retention and new sign-ups in a market where handset prices remain high and consumers are watching discretionary spending more closely.
The sale is available online, through customer care, in Vodafone stores nationwide and via authorised dealers. Several device promotions require customers to stay connected on eligible plans for 12, 24 or 36 months, while some trade-in deals apply only when an eligible device is exchanged.
The structure of the offers also highlights the extent to which operators rely on long-term contracts to support headline discounts on premium handsets. In practice, the largest savings are tied to higher-tier plans and multi-year repayment periods, while lower-cost devices are presented with small monthly charges on top of plan fees.
That approach has become increasingly common across the Australian telecommunications market as providers try to balance pressure on household spending with the cost of subsidising newer smartphone models and promoting fixed broadband products alongside mobile services.
Vodafone Australia is part of TPG Telecom and provides mobile and fixed broadband services in the local market.
