Tue, 13th Feb 2024

Tangerine and More, two flourishing telcos under one umbrella, have announced the expansion of their C-suite with the appointment of a new Chief Information Officer (CIO). As the businesses anticipate additional growth, Matt Conquest, a seasoned executive with a strong record in digital transformation, has been drafted into the newly created role.

Matt Conquest, the newly appointed CIO for both companies, expressed his delight to hop on board. "I am honoured and excited to join More and Tangerine. In today's fast-paced telco landscape, the role of a CIO is more critical than ever, and I am eager to contribute to More and Tangerine's success," he declared. With the experience accumulated over his eight-year stint at Telstra and previous tenures at 7-Eleven, Accenture, and Sensis, Matt is well-positioned to spearhead the efforts to structure, enhance communication, and promote collaboration at all levels within the companies.

More & Tangerine see integration of digital infrastructure, data and operations as crucial for their upward trajectory. Andrew Branson, CEO of More and Tangerine, highlighted these salient points during the announcement of the appointment. He noted, "As our businesses continue to undergo rapid growth, we identified the pivotal role of a CIO to lead our organisation's digital infrastructure, data and operations."

Branson further stated, "Matt's extensive experience in the telco sector, particularly in digital transformation, M&A integration, and operating model design, makes him the ideal leader to ensure our internal systems align seamlessly with our strategic goals." Purely focused on scaling their services and their impact, both companies remain committed to advancing their growth thrusts and will announce more senior executive appointments in the coming months.

Tangerine has earned its stripes as one of Australia's fastest-growing telcos since its inception in 2014 by nbn veteran brothers Andrew and Richard Branson. The firm offers tens of thousands of Australian households with nbn and mobile services. Their phenomenal growth earned them recognition as the fastest-growing telco in Asia-Pacific and Australia on the 2023 Financial Times High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific list.

More, launched in 2013, is a premium and future-focused provider of nbn, phone and mobile services to homes and businesses across Australia. The company prides itself on its passion for providing Australians with the very best internet and phone connections. More has been recognised for its excellent workplace, earning a spot on the 2023 Smart50 Workplaces winners list and certification as a Great Place to Work.
