PMT wins Nextivity Elite Partner status in Australia
PMT Communication Systems has been recognised as an Elite Partner by Nextivity, placing the Australian installer among a limited group of partners for the mobile coverage technology provider.
The recognition follows a visit to Australia by Nextivity's senior leadership, including chief executive officer Michiel Lotter, who met PMT's communications team to discuss demand for indoor mobile coverage and the development of the company's technology platforms.
Nextivity awards Elite Partner status to companies that demonstrate technical expertise, deployment experience and consistent delivery using its cellular coverage systems. For PMT, the designation reflects its work installing in-building mobile coverage systems across retail, commercial and other business sites across Australia.
The companies also discussed the development of the Nextivity QUATRA 4000e system, which has expanded from a connectivity product into a platform that can also act as an Internet of Things connector for security, monitoring and building systems.
According to Nextivity, its Smart Server Antenna technology allows QUATRA systems to collect and distribute sensor data to edge-based application servers. That could extend the role of indoor mobile coverage infrastructure into building management and security deployments, where PMT already operates as an integrated provider of communications, security and technology systems.
The partner status comes as businesses across Australia place greater importance on indoor mobile coverage for day-to-day operations. Companies are using mobile devices and connected systems for payments, inventory management, staff communications and customer-facing services, particularly across large retail estates, logistics networks and office portfolios.
PMT is delivering projects nationally for organisations with multiple sites, including retailers, distribution centres, critical infrastructure operators and corporate building owners. It has also secured multiple Nextivity QUATRA sites in New South Wales, while additional projects in other states are in development, including a QUATRA commercial distributed antenna system deployment in South Australia.
National rollout
The Elite Partner recognition highlights PMT's engineering investment and its ability to deliver installations at scale across the country.
"Being recognised as an Elite Partner by Nextivity is a strong endorsement of the expertise our team has developed delivering cellular coverage solutions across Australia," said Sam Jamil, Communications Operations Manager at PMT Communication Systems.
"As organisations continue to digitise operations, reliable indoor mobile connectivity has become essential for everything from payments and inventory systems to staff communications and customer engagement. Our partnership with Nextivity allows us to deliver these capabilities at scale," Jamil said.
PMT's work reflects a broader market shift as businesses seek stronger mobile signals inside buildings, where standard outdoor network coverage can be weak or inconsistent. Indoor mobile systems and distributed antenna installations have become more common in retail sites, warehouses, office buildings and other facilities that depend on uninterrupted access to mobile and cloud-based services.
Nextivity, which develops CEL-FI cellular coverage products, says its technology is installed at thousands of sites in Australia and in more than 100 countries. Its discussions with PMT in Australia focused on how those systems are being used by local businesses and how they may evolve beyond basic indoor coverage.
Local expertise
For Australian customers, one practical issue in these deployments is local installation expertise. Multi-site organisations often require standardised systems, national support and the ability to manage installations across different building types, from shops and offices to logistics hubs and infrastructure assets.
PMT expects the partnership to strengthen its market position. As part of the Elite Partner program, it will receive priority technical support, closer contact with Nextivity's engineering teams and greater visibility through the supplier's partner network.
"Nextivity's technology enables organisations to deliver reliable cellular coverage inside buildings where traditional mobile signals often struggle," said Niyi Adedoja, Communications Solution Development Manager at PMT Communications.
"Our team has developed deep expertise installing these systems across retail and commercial environments, and the Elite Partner recognition reflects our ability to deliver complex projects for customers operating at national scale," Adedoja said.
