Le Royal Monceau upgrades Wi-Fi with RUCKUS networks' help

The French hotel Le Royal Monceau - Raffles Paris has successfully upgraded its Wi-Fi network with assistance from CommScope's RUCKUS Networks. The completion of this project aims to enhance the digital experience for guests visiting the French capital this summer.

The luxury hotel implemented over 330 RUCKUS access points (APs) across its 149 guest rooms and suites, back-of-house areas, and three high-density public areas, including the Katara Cinema, and installed six outdoor APs. Additionally, two RUCKUS SmartZone Wi-Fi Controllers have been integrated to manage the network. This upgrade promises to offer guests improved connectivity with increased speeds, low latency, enhanced security, and greater reliability and capacity. These features are critical for activities such as streaming and video calling, which demand high bandwidth.

Hedi Elkilani, IT Director of Le Royal Monceau - Raffles Paris, expressed enthusiasm about the upgrade. The RUCKUS SmartZone controller is designed to streamline network management, giving the hotel’s IT team advanced tools to optimise performance and address issues rapidly. The Wi-Fi deployment was completed in July 2024, ensuring that guests arriving during the peak summer season can experience the upgraded network. The project aims to provide uninterrupted internet access, which is a key factor in enhancing the overall guest experience at the hotel.
