Teletrac Navman names Sharma as VP Product Management

Teletrac Navman has appointed Pankaj Sharma Vice President of Product Management, adding a senior product executive with experience in SaaS, artificial intelligence, machine learning and connected mobility.
Sharma joins from Platform Science, which acquired Trimble Telematics, where he served as vice president of product management. In that role, he led the launch of AI-based analytics and safety products, expanded electronic logging device offerings and oversaw product integration following acquisitions.
He has also held senior product leadership roles at Verra Mobility, Michelin Connected Fleet and Verizon Connect. Sharma brings more than 15 years of experience building and scaling product organisations across software and platform businesses.
The appointment comes as the fleet technology company broadens its product range. Recent launches include Energy Hub, a product within its TN360 fleet management platform that gives businesses a single view of energy use across mixed-energy fleets by combining electric vehicle charging information with traditional fuel data.
Teletrac Navman has also introduced an Electronic Braking Performance Monitoring System, part of its compliance portfolio and a regulatory-approved alternative to traditional roller brake testing.
These releases follow Teletrac Navman's emergence as a standalone company after its acquisition by Respida Capital. The business operates globally and is headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois. Sharma will be based in Atlanta.

Sharma will help lead product strategy as Teletrac Navman increases its focus on artificial intelligence across its fleet technology portfolio. That reflects broader competition in transport and fleet software, where providers are adding data analysis, safety monitoring and compliance tools alongside core vehicle and asset tracking services.
For fleet operators, the challenge is managing a more complex mix of vehicles, fuels and regulations in one system. Suppliers are responding by expanding software platforms that bring together operational, safety and energy data while simplifying reporting and decision-making for customers.
Sharma described the timing of his move as significant for both the company and the wider sector.
