Vodafone has suffered its second drop in customers in a row, according to figures from parent company Vodafone PLC.
The report says Vodafone had 2,434,000 customers at September 30 this year, compared with 2,458 three months earlier.
The drop of 24,000 follows a slightly larger fall of 26,000 in the previous quarter, from 2,484,000.
Vodafone New Zealand's most recent profit guidance registered a healthy 25% increase but warned tougher times were on the way due to the Commerce Commission choosing to cut mobile termination rates.
32.8% of Vodafone's customers are now on contracts, up from 32.4% at the time of the previous announcement.
