Yesterday

Samsung Electronics Australia has announced the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy Fit3 fitness tracker, available for AUD $149.

The Galaxy Fit3 is designed with an aluminium body and features a wider display than previous models, allowing users to monitor their health and wellness data at any time. The device offers insights into daily workouts and sleep patterns, encouraging a healthier lifestyle.

Kylie Mason, Head of Wearables, Mobile eXperience at Samsung Australia, stated, "At Samsung, we're committed to providing Australians with advanced health monitoring tools and accessible resources to help them along their wellness journey. We've seen Australians' growing interest in gaining a comprehensive understanding of their health and wellbeing, and with our newest dedicated fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit3, we mark another step towards providing a smarter and more enhanced connected snapshot."

The fitness tracker is equipped with a 1.6-inch display, which is 45% wider compared to the previous model. It is lightweight and offers a comfortable fit for everyday use. The battery life can last up to 13 days, and users have the option to personalise the tracker with over 100 pre-set watch faces or use their own photos. Additionally, users can change the bands to suit their lifestyle and fashion preferences.

The Galaxy Fit3 allows users to track over 100 types of workouts and provides exercise records to help stay motivated. It includes a 5ATM rating and is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, allowing use in various environments. The device also tracks health metrics such as heart rate and stress levels.

At night, the Galaxy Fit3 offers sleep tracking capabilities, including snore detection and monitoring of blood oxygen levels. Users receive personalised sleep coaching based on their sleep patterns, offering meaningful insights. The device can sync with a paired smartphone to offer an uninterrupted experience during sleep.

Safety features, such as Fall Detection and Emergency SOS, are included with the Galaxy Fit3. It can immediately contact emergency services if a fall is detected or if the SOS function is activated by pressing the side button five times.

As part of the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, the Galaxy Fit3 can function as a remote control for a smartphone camera and manage media playback. It also has a "Find My Phone" feature to locate a misplaced smartphone or vice versa.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit3 is available across Australia from 8 October, with colour options including Grey and Pink Gold.
