PMT Security Systems has won four partner awards from Genetec and Axis Communications across Australia and New Zealand.

Genetec named PMT Cloud Partner of the Year and Unified Partner of the Year for the region, while Axis Communications awarded it Australian Partner of the Year and Queensland Partner of the Year.

The recognition adds to PMT's standing with several security technology vendors. It holds Unified Elite Partner status with Genetec, Solution Gold Partner status with Axis Communications, Platinum Partner status with Hanwha Vision, and Premier Partner status with Milestone Systems.

PMT works across critical infrastructure, retail, data centres, and large commercial sites, with a focus on integrated security systems that combine surveillance, communications, and related technologies.

Recent work includes collaborations with Milestone Systems on projects using open video management software platforms across several industries. Earlier this year, PMT also secured two multi-million-dollar data centre deployments.

Chief Executive Officer Adrian Smith linked the awards to the company's vendor relationships and technical capability.

"We never take our collaborative relationships with the world's best vendors for granted and winning both Cloud Partner of the Year and Unified Partner of the Year for ANZ from Genetec, and also Partner of the Year from Axis Communications is a strong endorsement of our team's expertise and our commitment to innovation," Smith said.

He also pointed to a broader shift in how customers buy and deploy security systems.

"Success is no longer just about hardware on-site, it's about intelligent, integrated and tailored solutions that deliver real-time visibility, scalability and resilience. Our partnerships with the likes of Genetec, Axis, Milestone Systems and our broader ecosystem of the best global technology leaders, enables us to deliver exactly that," Smith said.

Partner network

Vendor accreditations are an important part of the electronic security market's commercial structure. Systems integrators often rely on close ties with software, camera, and infrastructure suppliers to bid for and deliver large projects. Higher-tier partner status can indicate sales volume, staff certifications, technical training, and involvement in product planning or advisory programs.

For PMT, its Genetec and Axis rankings are at the highest level those vendors offer. Its Hanwha Vision designation makes it the only partner at that level in Oceania, while its Milestone Systems status includes advisory board involvement.

Those relationships matter most in larger deployments, especially in sectors such as data centres and critical infrastructure, where customers often want systems drawn from more than one supplier rather than a single proprietary stack. Integrators that can assemble and support multi-vendor environments are often better placed to meet procurement, compliance, and operational requirements.

Growth focus

PMT has expanded across Australia and New Zealand in recent years as demand has grown for security systems that combine monitoring, alerts, and communications. Businesses with sensitive sites and distributed operations have increasingly sought platforms that support real-time oversight and tighter integration between physical security tools.

Managing Director Darren Taylor said maintaining top partner levels across several suppliers requires sustained investment in skills and delivery.

"Achieving and maintaining the highest partner tiers across multiple leading vendors is no small feat. It requires deep technical accreditation, innovative problem solving, consistent delivery excellence, and a proven ability to execute in complex, high-stakes environments. These awards are ultimately a reflection of our people and our customers," Taylor said.

The latest awards come as security buyers across Australia and New Zealand place greater emphasis on resilience, compliance, and rapid visibility across sites, particularly in asset-intensive sectors. PMT said its recent contract wins in data centres reflect that demand in parts of the market where uptime, monitoring, and incident response are central operational concerns.

Its work with major technology vendors also shows how the security integration market is shifting towards software-led systems that can connect across sites and adapt over time. In that environment, partner recognition has become both a marker of technical standing and a path to larger, more complex deployments.
