Grandstream has announced the release of a new outdoor managed network switch, the GWN7710R. This 6-port (5GE+1SFP) outdoor lite managed PoE switch features an IP66-rated waterproof and dustproof casing designed to withstand harsh weather conditions such as rain, snow, and high temperatures. Grandstream highlighted that the GWN7710R is suitable for various outdoor locations, including hotels, restaurants, parks, campuses, and public areas.

The GWN7710R offers flexible and complex traffic segmentation capabilities with global or per-port VLANs, DSCP/802.1p QoS priority management modes, bandwidth control, and storm control. "The GWN7710R is designed to ensure a stable and powerful network performance," the company stated. The switch includes four Gigabit ports that provide passive PoE++ output, one Gigabit port with PoE++ input, and one 2.5G SFP port.

Users can manage the GWN7710R locally through its web user interface, through the cloud using Grandstream's GDMS, or on-premises with the GWN Manager. Installation options for the switch include pole, DIN-rail, and wall-mounted setups, making it versatile for both outdoor and indoor applications.
