Extreme Networks partners with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber
Extreme Networks, a global leader in cloud networking, has announced its strategic partnership with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. The alliance will ensure reliable and secure wireless connectivity at the premier motorsport team's headquarters in Switzerland and at global racing venues, including crucial networking support for in-car technology.
Under the new agreement, Extreme Networks' Wi-Fi 6E solutions will provide Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber with high-speed Wi-Fi at its headquarters and as they compete in the 2024 Formula One World Championship. This will facilitate seamless, secure communications on the track and bolster network-connected technology in the racing cars.
At the team's headquarters, Extreme's solutions will support all enterprise functions and contribute significantly to the management of manufacturing facilities, boosting staff efficiency and productivity. The Wi-Fi 6E network will also offer additional bandwidth for emerging technologies such as automated machinery and AI software, with no impact on current operations. Universal Switches will equip the IT team with the flexibility to switch out their OS as use cases evolve, streamlining operations and reducing equipment costs.
In addition to connectivity, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber will employ ExtremeAnalytics. This tool will offer the team insights into network performance and data on high-traffic areas in the manufacturing facilities that could be realigned to enhance efficiency. It also will highlight peak periods of user activity, empowering team operators to make data-driven decisions around staffing and production.
As part of the partnership, the Extreme Networks logo will make a prominent appearance on the suspension arms of the team's newly unveiled 2024 challenger, the C44, driven by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
Team Representative, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, said, "We are pleased to welcome Extreme Networks, the newest partner joining the ever-growing Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber family. Having reliable and secure connectivity is essential for our team, both at the heart of our operations in Hinwil, and as we travel the world. Extreme Networks Wi-Fi 6E will provide faster network performance, which is essential to enhance our operations and increase both staff and manufacturing line productivity."
Markus Nispel, Chief Technology Officer - EMEA, Extreme Networks, expressed his enthusiasm about the new partnership, noting, "We are excited to join forces with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber ahead of the new Formula One season. The team required a network that could keep up with their lightning-fast vehicles as well as their highly productive HQ and operations teams. Extreme's wireless and analytics solutions will enable them to move even faster toward their goals as an organisation, delivering the secure and reliable connectivity they need to gear up for success in 2024."
