Claroty named Leader in IoT security solutions by Forrester

Thu, 4th Sep 2025

Claroty has been identified as a Leader in IoT Security Solutions by Forrester Research in its recent analysis of the sector.

Forrester's evaluation, published in The Forrester Wave: IoT Security Solutions, Q3 2025, awarded Claroty the highest possible score across ten distinct criteria for current offering and strategy. These included device identification and classification, vulnerability assessment and resolution, risk posture management for IoT infrastructure, network segmentation and microsegmentation, device configuration monitoring and management, deployment options, vision, innovation, roadmap, and partner ecosystem.

Claroty stands out as the only company among its peers to obtain the highest score possible in network segmentation and microsegmentation, deployment options, and partner ecosystem. The report also places Claroty among the highest-scoring vendors in the strategy category.

Forrester's findings

According to the Forrester report, Claroty's recent move towards asset-targeted protection was highlighted as a significant development in its product vision.

Claroty's "pivot to asset-targeted protection reflects its vision of enhancing its platform to meet customers at various stages of their IoT security journey," and says, "Claroty's market-focused teams mean it's a good fit for customers in different industries who want to secure their IoT assets and OT networks."

The report outlines Claroty's technical approach, focusing on its capacity for asset discovery and network protection. It states, "Claroty delivers detailed insights into discovered assets, using passive monitoring, safe active queries, and integration with enterprise configuration management databases (CMDBs). This data enables analysts to assess vulnerabilities, gauge risk posture, and design effective network segmentation policies that can be tested prior to deployment."

Forrester also referenced customer feedback in its analysis, stating, "Customers praised Claroty's asset discovery and vulnerability analysis capabilities, noting the high quality of its insights."

Company response

Claroty's Chief Executive Officer, Yaniv Vardi, responded to the news, saying, "We're thrilled to be named as a Leader in IoT Security in what is a very competitive field. We believe that our mission-driven approach has positioned us to offer our customers and partners solutions that make a true impact on their business and are built on a vision that they trust us to execute."

Claroty believes the recognition and its scores reflect the core features of its platform, which comprise Asset Inventory, Exposure Management, and Network Protection.

Core platform details

For Asset Inventory, Claroty claims to use a broad range of CPS protocol coverage to provide a detailed, centralised inventory of all assets in an environment. The solution's discovery methods aim to create comprehensive asset profiles tailored for visibility and capable of identifying asset changes across operational environments.

In terms of Exposure Management, Claroty describes its approach as beyond traditional vulnerability management, focusing on a dynamic method that enables organisations to identify, assess, and prioritise risks. The platform includes contextual intelligence to support risk reduction and prioritisation by outlining business impact for more informed decision-making by security teams.

The third area, Network Protection, is based on a zone-focused model intended to simplify monitoring, refining, and enforcement of communication policies through existing security infrastructure. Claroty suggests that these network protection capabilities underpin Zero Trust approaches within industrial cybersecurity postures.

Industry landscape

Within Forrester's assessment, the importance of detailed asset visibility and systematic vulnerability management is underlined as critical for industries managing interconnected operational technology and IoT networks. Claroty's direction towards asset-targeted visibility and segment-based network policies has been marked out as aligning with the evolving needs of these sectors.

The Forrester report notes that its opinions are based on the best available information at the time and do not represent endorsements of any specific company or product. It also encourages buyers to make informed decisions based on individual requirements and risk assessments.
