VIAVI, the test and measurement company, has announced it will be showcasing a host of network test, automation, and optimisation solutions powered by NITRO Wireless and NITRO AIOps at the upcoming MWC Barcelona this February.
The last twelve months have seen network technology advance at a phenomenal speed, enhancing demand for networking and computing resources worldwide. Oleg Khaykin, CEO and President of VIAVI, highlighted the transformative impact of consumer-scale AI on the global demand for networking and computing resources. With the rapid expansion of 5G and anticipation building for 6G, VIAVI aims to offer solutions that assist its customers and partners in adapting to this dynamic environment.
Oleg Khaykin emphasised: "The emergence of consumer-scale AI has changed the demand for networking and computing resources worldwide. With 10,000 new 5G cities being added while the industry is already paving the road for 6G, VIAVI is set to present several solutions that help our customers and partners navigate this evolving landscape to deliver profitable services on future-proofed networks," said Khaykin.
The solutions will be exhibited at the company's stand in Hall 5 at the MWC Barcelona, covering a broad range of areas via the Network Integrated Test, Real-Time Analytics and Optimisation (NITRO) platform. These include network transformation and optimisation with the VIAVI Telco AI and transitioning from 5G to 6G via the NITRO Wireless technology platform.
The AI-driven VIAVI Telco powers solutions for highly automated, zero-touch networks of the future. The NITRO AIOps facilitates communication service providers to utilise cloud platforms, open control interfaces and automation. This includes providing cloud-native Asset Discovery, Inventory and Topology, Real-time Assurance with AI/ML-driven proactive problem resolution, analytics and automation, and optimisation of digital experiences across hybrid network environments.
The NITRO Wireless combines performance and interoperability test platforms used throughout the industry for 3GPP and O-RAN. It also offers cloud, intelligence, and automation in the lab, through the cloud, or as a service. Furthermore, the VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR) is among the showcased solutions.
Cloud-based RAN Intelligence Controller (RIC) test and geolocation apps are also part of VIAVI's offerings, enabling optimised, efficient wireless networks which have self-learning capabilities. The 5G synchronisation, interference hunting, electromagnetic field (EMF) analysis, and antenna alignment will form part of the smart, secure, and automated field solutions for technicians and contractors provided by VIAVI's field instruments.
Throughout MWC Barcelona, VIAVI will conduct live collaborative demonstrations with technology leaders. These will encompass new architectures and solutions to enhance 5G performance and lay the foundation for 5G Advanced and 6G, the commercial robustness, maturity, and cost-effectiveness of Open RAN, and RAN Intelligence and AIOps.
