Ingram Micro Experience 2025 to gather 1,000 tech leaders in Sydney

Yesterday

Ingram Micro has announced the return of its Experience 2025 event, which will be held at ICC Sydney on 5 August and is expected to bring together over 1,000 technology leaders, including global vendors, channel partners, and senior executives.

The event's theme, "Distributing Momentum", will focus on collaboration, technological solutions, and growth within the information technology sector. The gathering will highlight various products and strategies from vendors such as Apple, Lenovo, Microsoft, Cisco, and HPE, aiming to support the ongoing digital transformation of Australia's IT ecosystem.

According to Ingram Micro, the local presence and expertise of its Australian arm remain central to its ongoing operations. Executives point to the company's commitment to its partners, helping them engage with consumer technology, infrastructure, and enterprise services in an increasingly interconnected market.

"Ingram Micro Experience 2025 is a cornerstone event that brings the channel community together to build momentum, spark ideas, and accelerate opportunity," said Hope McGarry, Executive Managing Director, Ingram Micro Australia. "As a customer-obsessed organisation, we're focused on enabling our partners to thrive, leveraging local insight, global reach and access to the technologies driving transformation."

McGarry emphasised the rarity of the event in terms of access and networking, adding: "This is a rare opportunity to connect with leading vendors, industry peers and innovators in a showcase of the solutions and strategies that will define what's next."

Centred around the Hub

The Ingram Micro Hub will serve as the focal point of the event, featuring the Xvantage Stage where experts will discuss ways to accelerate business outcomes using the company's AI-powered Xvantage platform. Presenters will address subjects such as operational efficiency, insight generation, and business agility to assist attendees in managing complexity and increasing decision-making speed.

The event will also debut the B2B Tech Talk Podcast Stage, offering live recordings with industry leaders to discuss trends affecting the technology channel. The discussion topics will cater to IT decision-makers and partners, providing perspectives on how digital transformation is shaping the sector.

The exhibition floor will be divided into four separate "Solutions Villages" aligned to the organiser's focus areas. These thematic spaces will cover cloud and cybersecurity, infrastructure and networking, commercial and consumer products, and industry-specific solutions for education, healthcare, retail, and logistics.

Each Solution Village will operate with a Silent Theatre format, with attendees receiving wireless headphones so that they can select and listen to sessions without distraction. This arrangement is designed to provide a personalised approach, allowing participants to tailor their experience according to their own interests.

Networking and technology

The event will make use of digital tools to improve attendee engagement and efficiency. QR code-enabled networking and a dedicated mobile app will be provided to allow guests to create personalised schedules, share content, and interact in real time.

Discussing the diversity of offerings, McGarry said, "We've designed this event to mirror the ambition and diversity of our ecosystem. Whether you're driving innovation in cybersecurity or scaling sector-specific solutions, this is where meaningful conversations can accelerate progress."

Executive discussions

Experience 2025 will also mark the conclusion of the Ingram Micro Executive Connect series. This initiative, led by McGarry, has involved more than 250 C-level leaders across Australia, bringing them together for leadership discussions and networking events. The Sydney meeting will be the largest in the series and will include a keynote presentation from McGarry addressing market trends and emerging opportunities within the technology and channel sectors.

Focus on current trends

The agenda for the day will span four stages and include over 30 breakout sessions covering current topics such as generative artificial intelligence, zero trust security, automation, sustainability, and the evolving function of distributors. Special attention will be given to the development of as-a-service business models and the increasing role distributors play as strategic advisors within the channel.

McGarry explained the wider aims of the day, saying, "Ingram Micro Experience is more than an event, it's a platform to reconnect, refocus, and reimagine what's possible. We're bringing together the people and perspectives that can help our ecosystem grow stronger, together."
