Huawei unveils WATCH FIT 4 Pro & FIT 4 wearables in Australia

Today

Huawei has released two new wearable devices, the WATCH FIT 4 Pro and WATCH FIT 4, for Australian consumers.

The company stated that the WATCH FIT 4 Pro aims to enhance the smartwatch experience through superior performance, high-end features, lighter weight and a thinner, more durable design. Compatible with both iOS and Android devices, the WATCH FIT 4 Pro features a battery life of up to 10 days, a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen display, a durable sapphire glass screen, titanium alloy bezel, and aluminium body. Huawei reported that the display's peak brightness is 3000 nits, three times brighter than previous models, improving visibility in direct sunlight for outdoor activities such as trail running and hiking.

The new wearable line introduces several sports and fitness features. The WATCH FIT 4 Pro provides golfers with free access to over 15,000 global and 1,350 Australian golf course maps, including tracking for distances, wind speeds, and direction. For divers, the WATCH FIT 4 Pro supports free dives up to 40 metres, offering real-time insights, safety alerts, and static apnea drills to improve breath-hold time and CO₂ tolerance.

The device also incorporates an advanced terrain map tracking system with route navigation and a Sunflower Positioning System, which offers 30 per cent more accurate GPS coordination than previous models, according to Huawei. The newly introduced offline contour maps are intended to help hikers and runners navigate routes more effectively. The company highlighted that the watch's design makes it a durable companion for a range of fitness goals and activities.

In addition to the Pro model, the WATCH FIT 4 is available to Australian consumers. The device weighs 27 grams and has a sleeker design, designed to provide comfort and an affordable price point. The WATCH FIT 4 includes intelligent features for general workouts, as well as a new water sports function that tracks seven activities, including paddle boarding, canoeing, board surfing, and rowing.

For those involved in activities with elevation changes, the new barometric tracking feature delivers real-time elevation data by detecting changes in air pressure. Huawei stated that this feature would be suitable for hikers, climbers, and outdoor athletes, offering improved accuracy for altitude and elevation gain measurements.

The WATCH FIT 4 Pro includes the HUAWEI TruSense System to track health and fitness indicators. The series incorporates heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂) monitors to provide insights into cardiovascular and respiratory health. The WATCH FIT 4 Pro also introduces health insights directly on the wrist for the first time, according to the company.

Additional health management functions include enhanced Menstrual Cycle Management features designed to help users understand hormonal patterns, manage symptoms, and detect irregularities.

The WATCH FIT 4 Pro is available in Black and Blue with a 3D sculpting strap made from fluoroelastomer, and in Green with a 3D wind brush woven nylon strap. The standard WATCH FIT 4 comes in Black, Purple, and White with a fluoroelastomer strap, and in Grey with a 3D wind brush woven strap. Both devices are priced from AUD $299 and are available for pre-order with up to an AUD $100 gift card while stocks last. Sales through Amazon and JB Hi-Fi are scheduled to begin from May 28.

Reflecting on the launch, the company stated: "The WATCH FIT 4 Pro has been designed to enhance the smartwatch experience through superior performance, high-end features, lighter weight and a thinner more durable design for the adventurous and health-conscious, yet stylish consumer."

Discussing the standard device, Huawei added: "The stylish WATCH FIT 4 is packed with intelligent features specifically designed to help users work out anytime, anywhere with a comprehensive, user-centric experience at an affordable price point."
