Miloud Bensaada, the former Vice President of Sales at Orange, has been appointed as the new Chief Commercial Officer at Cubic Telecom, a leading global software-defined connected vehicle (SDCV) solutions provider. Bensaada is expected to lead Cubic's sales division and expand its technological solutions to a broader range of industries, including automotive, agriculture, and other high-value Internet of Things (IoT) asset original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Bensaada brings a quarter of a century of experience in the telecommunications industry and most recently held a vital role in heading Orange's International Wholesale business. Before this, he handled the automotive and manufacturing sectors for Orange Business. Adding to his impressive profile, Bensaada graduated from the Institute Mines-Télécom in Paris and holds an MBA from Imperial College London.
Barry Napier, CEO of Cubic, expressed his pleasure at Bensaada's appointment. He says, "I am delighted to announce that Miloud is joining our team at Cubic. Miloud will join the senior leadership team with a key focus on growth and innovation. His exceptional track record is a testament to his expertise, and we are thrilled to have him on board as we navigate the dynamic landscape of SDCV and high-value IoT markets."
Equally enthusiastic about his new role, Bensaada says, "Thank you to Barry and the Cubic team for the opportunity to join one of the most innovative software companies in the world. The SDCV and high-value IoT market is skyrocketing, and I am looking forward to helping the team capitalise on its impressive trajectory as it continues to play a leading global role in developing services and accelerating innovation in the market."
Cubic Telecom, whose role is quickly becoming crucial in the burgeoning SDCV market, recently boosted its capacity to influence the industry, with a sizeable 473 million EUR investment from SoftBank. The new funding is set to enable Cubic Telecom and SoftBank to form a strategic global partnership to pioneer the future of SDCVs and other high-value IoT assets, using global connectivity platforms. This strategic collaboration is expected to significantly expedite the growth of the SDCV market, plus make advancements in other high-value IoT domains.
This high-profile appointment, along with the SoftBank investment, signals Cubic's commitment to enhancing its visibility and expanding its influence in the global SDCV and IoT markets. With Bensaada's industry experience and Cubic's innovative approach to global connectivity, the company is well-positioned to become a dominant player in the SDCV solutions landscape.
