Swoop has announced the appointment of Anthony Camilleri as the new Head of Infrastructure.
The telecommunications company, known for its fixed wireless and wholesale network infrastructure, is strengthening its leadership team amid ongoing expansion efforts in the Australian market.
Anthony Camilleri joins Swoop following a distinguished career spanning over 28 years in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. His previous roles include Regional Chief Technology Officer at ADTRAN, with significant experience in network design and management at industry leaders such as NBN and Telstra.

Swoop has undertaken an ambitious expansion strategy, having completed nine acquisitions since its listing in May 2021. The acquisition of Moose Mobile in November 2022 added over 94,000 users to Swoop's portfolio, and this number has since increased to more than 130,000.
Swoop Chief Executive Officer, Alex West, commented, "I am delighted that Anthony has joined our team and will take the lead for the rollout of Swoop's Fibre Broadband roadmap. Anthony's deep expertise and extensive experience will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and expand our services."
Alex West further added, "Throughout his career, Anthony has been a driving force in shaping the broadband landscape in Australia, starting his journey with narrowband technology and evolving into a leading expert in high-speed fibre broadband networks. His proficiency in network design and strategic planning will be instrumental as we advance our mission to deliver world-class connectivity and strengthen our position as Australia's premier challenger in the telecommunications market."
Anthony Camilleri expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Swoop team, stating, "I am incredibly excited to join the team at Swoop at such a transformative time. This role presents yet another opportunity for me to make a meaningful impact in the company's direction, rapid growth, and evolution. Based on my years of experience, I believe that together we can deliver a competitive edge that will not only create value for our customers but also ensure long-term value for our shareholders."
He also outlined his objectives, "My primary focus will be to establish the Fibre Broadband business unit, forge strategic partnerships with industry groups, and drive broadband subscriber growth, positioning Swoop as a leading challenger in the telecommunications industry."
In his leisure time, Anthony enjoys outdoor activities, particularly involving the ocean, such as boating and fishing, along with exploring shorelines in Australia and abroad.
